Collagen therapy is performed to fill fine lines, depressed scars, and deep creases, as well as add volume to targeted areas of the face and the lips. Collagen, a protein found naturally in the human body, maintains the skin’s structure and elasticity. When injected with a micro-needle beneath wrinkles, collagen plumps the skin to reduce the appearance of the crease. When adding volume to areas of the face, most commonly the cheeks and lips, collagen is injected uniformly in appropriate amounts to provide natural looking augmentation.
