Facial Rejuvenation in Austin: BOTOX® Cosmetic and Juvederm®
At The Plastic Surgery Center of Austin, we offer BOTOX® Cosmetic therapy along with Juvederm® treatments to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and deep creases, restore diminished facial volume, and eliminate a variety of superficial skin irregularities.
BOTOX® Cosmetic Therapy
At our Austin practice, BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments offer patients the chance to attain a more youthful, wrinkle-free appearance. Made from a purified neurotoxin, BOTOX® Cosmetic therapy is a simple, noninvasive procedure that dramatically reduces the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes and mouth. BOTOX® Cosmetic works by paralyzing the constricting muscles that form wrinkles, allowing lines to relax and fade from view. The results achieved with BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are not permanent and treatment should be repeated about every three to four months to maintain smooth, wrinkle-free skin. Juvederm®
Juvederm®, available at our Austin, Texas-area practice, is becoming one of the most popular injectable treatments designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and add volume to facial features such as the lips and cheeks. This dermal filler can provide a soft and smooth look and feel to the face, targeting areas of deep wrinkles and augmenting facial contours for a more youthful appearance.
Composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring substance in the human body, Juvederm® does not require allergy testing or a waiting period. Juvederm® treatments are administered in facial areas targeted for rejuvenation with an ultra-fine needle. Juvederm® works to fill in lines and wrinkles for a smoother, more youthful aesthetic, and is also used to plump up the lips or add volume to the cheeks. The procedure typically lasts around 30 minutes or less, and results are almost immediate.
Juvederm® treatments can often be done over your lunch hour, as there is typically no recovery time associated with the procedure. Any swelling and/or bruising after treatment should dissipate within a few days.
Patients often experience results from Juvederm® that last from six to nine months or more. The results of Juvederm® can also be maintained with occasional touch-up treatments.
